Our last design workshop in May with Tim, Richard and Bernadette from Jasmax was a great success. The designers went away buzzing with ideas from the enthusiastic community involvement in the design process. The result was a much improved idea of the diversity of living and working options that the community is looking for, which will be worked into the next level of the design.

We’re now focusing on the most exciting aspect of the design – what should it look like?! If you’d like to contribute your ideas we’d love to see you. Again we’re looking for a diversity of ideas to combine with Jasmax’ design skills to create a model for sustainable urban living in Christchurch.
If you’d love to live in an affordable, sustainable urban village in Christchurch, but don’t yet know how or whether you can commit, then please come anyway. We’re working hard to make it accessible to as diverse a group of people as possible, including rentals and social housing. We’re especially interested in input from young people and families. What is it that would make a great city home for you? Come and share your ideas!
